Frequently Asked Questions

Film developing at Rewind Photo Lab, answered.
Can I drop off my film or mail it in?

Both. Drop your film off at our Alexandria (Sydney) or Wollongong store, or mail it to us from anywhere in Australia. Whichever way it arrives, your film gets the same expert care from the moment we receive it until it is safely back with you.

Mailing it in? Fill out the order form first: rewindphotolab.com.au/pages/order-form

Can you develop film from disposable cameras?

Yes, we develop film from disposable cameras, which typically use C-41 colour negative film. A standard 27-exposure disposable camera is priced as a 24-exposure roll. We handle the film removal for you, just bring in the whole camera.

How much does film developing cost?

Develop-only starts at $12 per roll for C-41 colour film, $15 for black and white and $16 for E-6 slide film. Develop and scan starts at $20 per roll, high-res 35MP scans are $28, and our all-in-one develop, scan and print package starts at $36.50. Full pricing tables are on this page.

I'm new to film photography and just want digital copies of my photos. What should I do?

Choose our Develop and Scan service at standard resolution. We develop your film and send high-quality digital scans straight to your email, ready to view and share on any device. It is the simplest option and covers what most people need.

Can I get prints made from scans afterward?

Yes. You can order prints from your scans at any time through our print portal, from classic 4x6 prints to large fine art prints, printed in-house at our Sydney and Wollongong labs.

How do I receive my scan files?

We upload your scans to the cloud and send a download link to your email. If you have a lot of film or prefer a physical copy, we can save the files to a USB drive. Bring your own USB or purchase one from us in store.

What should I do if I have specific requirements for my scans?

If you have custom requests or need your scans matched to a reference, let us know before we start your job and our technicians will tailor the scans to your specifications.
