FAQs
How should I store unused Super 8 cartridges?
Store your Super 8 film in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight and heat sources. For optimal results, refrigerate cartridges at 0-10°C in a sealed plastic bag to prevent condensation. Allow refrigerated film to reach room temperature for 2-3 hours before loading into your camera. Properly stored fresh film maintains its quality for 2-3 years, whilst refrigerated stock can last much longer.
Can you process any Super 8 film stock?
We specialise in processing fresh Kodak Vision3 colour negative films (50D, 200T, 500T), Tri-X black and white reversal, and Ektachrome colour reversal stocks. Unfortunately, we cannot process expired, old, or unknown film stocks due to unpredictable chemistry reactions that could damage our equipment or compromise your footage. If you're unsure about your film stock, please contact us before sending.
What's the turnaround time for Super 8 processing?
Standard processing times are 7-10 days for ECN-2 colour negative films and 14-20 days for black and white processing. Develop and scan services add 2-3 additional days. During peak periods or for large orders, times may extend slightly. We offer an urgency service with 100% surcharge for same-day or next-day processing, subject to availability.
